Japanese magazine Best Car is now reporting in its latest issue that Nissan is also working on a 4door-coupe variant of the GT-R. The vehicle would supposedly use a stretched version of the coupe’s FM platform along with all the mechanical hardware including the 480HP twin turbo 3.8-liter V6 engine, the sophisticated all wheel-drive and the dual clutch semi-auto transmission.

Maruti Suzuki India on Tuesday announced that its new compact model A-Star would be priced
in the range of Rs 3-4 lakh.The country’s largest carmaker has begun the production of A-Star hatch for building a pre-launch inventory.A-Star has been planned for launch this year in October.
The would further help the company to consolidate its position in the Indian car market
space.Meanwhile, the parent of the Indian company, Suzuki Motor Corporation, has asked its
subsidiary to boost its research and development (R&D) for small car engines, according to news reports.

The 1.4 Tdi motor in Fabia has adequate performance but isnt even remotely quick. For a car which cost more than some of the more accomplished 3-box cars in the market, the engine is a major let-down. Also the fact that the 1.4 Motors is a 3-cylinder unit, makes it inherently noisy and unrefined.
To compensate matters, Skoda is considering launching the Fabia with a new 4 Cylinder diesel. Our guess is the 1.9 engine from the Skoda which has been here for long and is reasonably refined, very fuel efficient and reliable.
