Suzuki India plans to invest Rs. 150 crores in India. It has massive expansion plans to capture larger share two-wheeler market in India. It will invest the money in its operations which will be functional by 2010.
“So far we have invested Rs 400 crore. We will be looking at an additional investment of Rs 150 crore by 2010 to expand our capacity. We will launch new bikes in different segments to diversify our portfolio,” said Atul Gupta, Vice President, SMIPL. “We have designed the bikes in the sporty style for youngsters and utility for commuters. It has wolf-eyed headlamps and a muscular fuel tank with wider seats for longer, comfortable ride. We are also introducing several industry features like engine RPM indicator and gear positioning indicator to attract customers moving up the value-chain from 125cc bikes,” he added.
The company has recently launched its GS150R at Rs. 59000 (ex-showroom, Delhi). It also plans to launch a new bike in India by January next year which will be pitted against Hero Honda Hunk and CBZ, Bajaj Pulsar, TVS apache RTR , Honda Unicorn and Yamaha FZ16 .

Bajaj has officially announced that it will launch the XCD sprint in December. Expectation on the XCD sprint is running high ever since the bike was unveiled at the January auto expo. Espscially when Honda came up with the sporty stunner everyone was expecting the XCD sprint but Bajaj remained mute.
Bajaj today officially said it will launch a new sport motorcycle in December, the third of four products off the XCD platform. Recently Bajaj launched the 125cc platina and last year it launched the XCD. XCD sprint is powered by a 4 valve, DTSi engine developing 12.5PS of peak power and 10.3Nm of peak torque at 6500rpm. 5 speed tranmission transmits power to the rear wheel. Gas charged suspension at the rear, LED tail lamps and LCD console are other distinct features of XCD sprint.

Suzuki ’s GS150R is finally ready to be launched, the official launch is in September, but we still got a picture of the bike. It’s going to compete the 150cc commuter bikes that includes Honda’s Unicorn, Bajaj’s Pulsar 150, and Hero Honda’s Hunk and CBZ Xtreme. TVS’s RTR and Yamaha’s New R15 have nothing to fear about from this bike.
Suzuki today launched the much awaited 150cc bike - GS150R . The 150cc Segment is picking up in India. Suzuki has been a little conservative till now with its bike models. Zeus and Heat and not extra ordinary, but it sells enough to be seen here and there a while. The company took another step ahead with the Access 125 Scooter.
Yamaha has stormed the 150cc segment with the launch of YZF R15 and FZ16 , Suzuki’s foray into this segment is expected to be create similar impact in the segment with the GSR 150 Lanza.Inspired from the styling of Suzuki’s GSR 400 and GSR 600 - the GS150R Lanza boasts masculine styling cues. With a bikini fairing, wolf-eyed headlamps and pilot lamps mounted on either side the styling of the GSR is little conserative. GS150R’s muscular fuel tank is alike the one seen in TVS Apache RTR.
GS150R has no monshock, but comes with the contemporary gas charged suspension at the rear.Disc brake at the front and drum at the rear is as typical of any 150cc bike. Gear lever is the comfortable heel and toe type and GS150R comes with a six speed transmission.
It boast a bikini fairing with a wolf eyed headlamp similar to the pulsar. The pilot lamps are mounted on each side which increases the aura of the lanza. However the most striking features in the lanza is its muscular fuel tank.
It is available in four colours - pearl nebular black,metallic flint gray,candy max orange and Candy dark greenish blue. Suzuki has come up with a killer price for the GS150R. GS150R is attractively priced at Rs.59000.00 (ex-showroom Delhi).

Hero Honda today launched new variant Passion . The new look Passion Pro comes with a electric start option and is priced Rs. 44,000. “These launches are part of our strategy to boost sales during the festival season. Last year during the festival period we sold about five lakh units, this year we are looking to better the mark,” Hero Honda Motors Senior Vice-President (Marketing & Sales) Anil Dua said.
