Hyundai’s new discount offer for Government employees

Hyundai today announced a special discount offer for government employees. Under this offer governement employyes can avail discount of up to Rs 31,000 on Hyundai’s various cars. The scheme is offered during October and November, would be for both state and central government employees. “We offer this special scheme to all the government employees, who will soon be enjoying the benefits of their Sixth Pay Commission arrears. It is an attractive scheme and this will be an added incentive for them to purchase a Hyundai car in this festive season,” Hyundai Motors Senior Vice President (Marketing and Sales) Arvind Saxena said.

In view of the fact that government employees are due to receive the arrears after revision in the Sixth Pay Commission, the arrears can be utilised as down payment for purchase and the revised salary increment would help them to accommodate their monthly installments, Hyundai said. Hyundai also has tied up with State Bank of India, Axis Bank and HDFC Bank to offer finance schemes to the government employees for car purchase. Hyundai would offer discount for Santro , i10 , Getz , Accent, Verna.

Cheaper Proton GEN2 for the UK market

The balik kampung deal fever seems to have infected Proton UK as well, with the prices of the GEN2 receiving slashes up to £2,800 (RM17,520) according to Proton. The 1.3 liter Proton GEN2 now costs £6,995 (RM43,770) while the 1.6 liter version is now priced at £7,495 (RM46,900).

The GSX LE in particular has a price slash of £2,800 and free leather seats worth £1,000. It now costs £8,495 (RM53,160) for the manual and £8,995 (RM56,300) for the automatic and features four airbags (front and side), climate control, foglamps, a tailgate spoiler, all-round power windows, a CD player, and steering wheel audio.

All models come with a 6 year warranty for the powertrain, and 3 year warranty for the rest of the vehicle.

Maruti Suzuki and Bank of Maharashtra in car finance pact

Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has inked an MoU with Bank of Maharashtra to offer easy, transparent and hassle-free car finance to customers in Maharashtra. The MoU was signed by B K Mahajan, General Manager (Priority Sector & Retail), Bank of Maharashtra, and R S Kalsi, Chief General Manager (Sales), MSIL.

‘Maruti Suzuki is keen to expand its presence in rural and semi urban markets. We have the right products and a nationwide sales and service network to support this growth. We feel that car finance needs personalised focus and attention. We are confident that with partners like Bank of Maharashtra, we will achieve the objective of greater penetration,’ said Kalsi.

Hyundai Santro & i10 scheme to boost sales in Hyundai

In a bid to boost the sales of its compact hatchbacks, Hyundai Motor India is now offering fuel voucher worth Rs. 2700 with every Santro or i10 bought between june 20 to june 30th. According to Hyundai Motor India, Senior Vice-President Arvind Saxena “This is our way of helping customers cope with increased fuel costs and to demonstrate that the hike translates into just Rs 2,700 additional fuel bills for a period of 6 months, given the fuel efficiency of a Santro or an i10″. The company said the free fuel offer corresponds to the amount a customer would have to pay for in the first six months because of the fuel price. The calcualtions are based on a daily travel of 50 km, the company added.
